Where have all the Roosters flown to?

Walking Off

With the loss of our VFL licence for 2018, many of our players and staff are pursuing their careers elsewhere and thankfully it has been great for the players to be able to secure spots on other VFL lists so that they can continue their football careers at the higher level. With reduced lists at all VFL clubs and the loss of the VFL development league, there are limited places available and it is great that so many of the boys have been able to grab one of those spots:

Luke Kiel – Geelong VFL

Tom Schnerring – Williamston FC

Mitch Rodd – North Melbourne VFL

Andrew Hooper – Werribee FC

Hayden Walters – Williamstown FC

Nick Rippon – North Melbourne VFL

Lane Buckwell – Williamstown VFL

Ollie Tate – Williamstown VFL

Brenton Payne – Southport in the NEAFL

Locally, Tony Lockyer returns to Sebastopol as assistant coach and player and has Matt Austin, James Keeble, Lachlan Cassidy and Nick Hausler joining him.

Matt Johnston has moved from North Ballarat to East Point.

Ben Simpson remains at North Ballarat and Tim Spiers has joined the club for season 2018

Our coaches have also successfully moved on. Marc Greig is now taking charge at the Greater Western Victorian Rebels, Leigh Hutchinson has signed as the head coach of Sebastopol and Nick Daffy is a line coach with Essendon VFL.

Make sure you keep up to date with how your Rooster favourites are going in the various competitions and we will make sure to publish further player movements and achievements as they become known.
